A wonderful weekend for all kitted in LAID Cycling gear with a couple of firsts.
The first of the firsts, was a first (place) at Casey Fields for Neil Smithies. Buoyed by his second place last week, Neil took on the bunch again but this time came out on top. I've not got the details yet, but I'm certain that the pint sized British Bulldog was punching the air as he saluted the judges.
The second first was for Rowena Scott who not only attempted her first triathlon, but her first Olympic distance (1.5km swim /40km ride /10km run) race in Geelong.
Trying conditions no doubt, but a stellar effort crossing the line fifth in her category with an impressive time. Look for an upcoming story on her blog: http://sheridescycling.wordpress.com/
